Libraries Build Community
Strong libraries have the capacity to create stronger communities. Bringing people together from every Truckee neighborhood will strengthen the fabric of the place we all call home. It will bring us together where we will learn more about each other and create an understanding of what it is that makes our mountain town so unique: A community that offers a fantastic place to learn as much about the world around us as the world within us.
We are leading the effort to build a modern 20,000 square foot facility that will serve as the community center for creativity, collaboration, and connection.

What we
are building
What we’re building is connection. It’s more than a library, it’s a place. A space that is warm, spacious, and welcoming for all and large enough to accommodate the growing needs of our unique mountain community. A library that is safe, accessible, equitable, and inclusive - designed with the input of our diverse community. Where our community is enriched by access to books, resources, technology, and county services. A place for all of us.

What we support
We support the cultural, social, and educational well-being of everyone in our community.
Libraries are the heart of the community. They provide access to much-needed resources, information, and programs to promote an active and informed community.
And that is why we support the Truckee Library – so that it may better serve its community.
